Halfmoon, NY: [ca. late 18th Century - early 19th Century]. Folio. Portion of Hand-written Contract, Fair with major losses (at least half of document missing), staining, tears, creasing. Some notes on verso. Hand-writing style & lack of a printed form suggests a date of 1790 - 1820. Since Halfmoon is on the Erie Canal, which opened in 1825, it follows that hand-written contracts would be more prevalent before this date. Item #15-9750
