Signed by Walt Noble A. Powell III . Noble was commissioned by the Pebble Beach Company to create a series of images of the world famous Pebble Beach Golf Links as well as the Links at Spanish Bay; he has also produced a print series of the Augusta National Golf Club, site of the annual Masters Tournament. Additionally, his resume includes renderings of recent British Open venues; Turnberry in 1994 and St. Andrews in 1995. He has most recently completed a series of original paintings of Pinehurst No. 2 and No. 8. Impressed by the quality of his work, Pinehurst commissioned Noble to create an additional painting of world famous Pinehurst No.2, site of the 1999 United States Open Championship. The painting became the centerpiece for their official poster commemorating the event.
Mr. Powell has been painting professionally for over 30 years. Born and raised in California, he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Santa Barbara Art Institute, Masters in Fine Arts from California State University Long Beach and earned a Certificate in Commercial Art from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Noble is an Artist in Residence at the Studio Channel Islands Art Center located at the California State University at Channel Islands. He also owns Creative Alliance, an Art Group specializing in all facets of Commercial Art and Marketing.
Noble maintains his studio and his home in Camarillo, California, where he lives with his wife Marietta and three children. Item #16-3226
