1990-1997. A collection of 26 items: ALS; an original caricature drawing, signed; gallery flyers; 8 - 4 x 5 inch transparencies; 12 - 35mm transparencies from the collection of the late art historian Peter Selz.

Although mainly a painter, David Geiser was also an underground comic artist in the 1970s. His first comic was 'Honky Tonk', that appeared in 1970. Throughout the 1970s, he produced such titles as 'Uncle Sham', 'Bum Wad', 'Demented Pervert', 'Clowns', 'Sloppy Seconds' and 'Edge City'. David Geiser began painting in the early 1980s.

Living and working in East Hampton, NY, The Butters Gallery's star painter David Geiser makes work that is physically assertive and highly emotive. His work has cultivated a huge following in the Pacific Northwest with many collections having multiple examples of his work. Item #16-3597
