The title 'Broken Platforms' describes the geological and architectural levels whose forms Michael Dekker breaks up in his sculptures and defines them in their spatial reference. Spatial structures from nature and the urban environment also enter into a social dialogue. The starting point for his formal development was the study of geological stratifications and the dynamics of tectonic processes. Michael Dekker was born in 1983 in Ludwigshafen / Rhein, he lives and works in Wuppertal. After training as a farmer, he studied Fine Arts at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in 2006-13; he was a master student of Anthony Cragg.0Exhibition: Museum Pfalzgalerie, Kaiserslautern, Germany (07.06-23.08.2015).
