Born in Wolmirstedt in 1953, Heinz Jahn has been living in the French Dordogne for about 30 years. As a picture carrier of his watercolors, waste paper such as old receipts or tears from used accounting books serve him. So he includes the imprints and handwritten relics of the previous owners in his image direction: The large letters T.S.F. For example, my transmission sans fil, wireless radio broadcasting, and the inscription Trois cochons vendues is a French farmer's notary about successful sales in a rural market. Between the columns DOIT and AVOIR Jahn lives his artistic aim and credit. Heinz Jahn's washed watercolors, whose appeal often lies in coincidence and spontaneity, are among the best in contemporary use of watercolors, they are a wonderful expression of this sensitive medium.
