A large sheet of blank watermarked 18th Century Italian paper. Heawood, no 1590. First edition.
Rome: Papermaker AN, circa 1717. 53 x 38cm thick laid paper. Some sheets with a watermark: Fleur-de lis surmounted by letter "A" and surmounting letter 'N" below. Heawood, no 1590, as Roma 1717... The leaf was a support sheet in a collection of Baroque engravings. A given sheet may not have the watemark, but they are from the same batch. Item #51-5077
