New York: U.S. Army, 1944. Two copies of YANK, "The Army Weekly", with dates of June 25, 1944, and December 1, 1944. This was the Army newspaper "by the enlisted men of the U.S. Army," with a two color cover, plus many more war-related photos inside. This title was famous for the full page "pin-up girl" photo found near the back. Stories by Private William Saroyan. Label on December issue is addressed to Milton Caniff, the famous cartoonist (Terry and the Pirates). Item #59-3225
