Eight helmeted policemen gangrape figures of Justice (blindfolded, holding scales) and Liberty (crowned with spikes, holding a torch). Cieciorka was an activist in the civil rights and anti-war movements in the 1960s. His iconic woodcut image of a raised fist is perhaps his best-known work.
