New York: The Gotham Book Mart, [ca. 1948]. Invitation to a reception and book signing for the famous French poet, playwright and filmmaker. Typewritten on Funk & Wagnalls stationery. 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches. No year given, but Funk & Wagnalls brought out Cocteau's play in 1948. Letter is chipped and creased top and bottom, with a small hole at lower right. Has been folded once; there is an arrowhead-shaped piece missing from the right edge at the fold. OverallVery Good.
