Jackie Winsor was one of the most visible sculptors of the 1970s, working in a Post-Minimalist idiom, and showing at Paula Cooper Gallery in Soho. The artist tends to work with organic materials, such as rope and tree branches. This MoMA retrospective constituted a big institutional endorsement of her work.
