Good with marginal red rot on top of spine, frayed splitting along gutter of spine, rubbing to leather corners, and toning and staining to pages. Includes marbled endpapers, black and white illustrations and illustrated capitals. Sticker pasted on lower left corner of front pastedown indicates name of binder: “Bound By Houghton & Co., Ltd Scotland Passage, Birmingham.” Edges of pages are red. First edition. Both volumes are bound together.
